Kino James
Born and raised in New Mexico, landscape painter Kino James uses soft pastels on paper to capture spontaneous compositions in vibrant color.
“New Mexico is truly an inspiring place to paint because at every altitude new worlds emerge: sage-dotted plains, vast mountain landscapes covered with forests of pine and aspen, rivers lined with cottonwoods and flowers. And each vista is lit by our huge open sky that seems to pour brilliant color into everything.”
Kino’s large-scale pastels are emotional explosions of color that reflect his deep connection and love of the New Mexican landscape. JLI is pleased and proud to publish Kino’s spectacular paintings.
