Open & Limited Editions
Fine Art Paper with Archival Pigmented Inks
Limited vs Open Edition prints
Although JLI is the publisher of the fine art in our catalogue, the pricing and type of editions is at the discretion of the artist. Many artists allow us to release Open or Unlimited editions to make their art as accessible as possible to the public. Other artists prefer to release their work as Limited Editions. Of course, in the end it is really only about the art you want in your home, so you should be aware of the following:
- There is no quality difference between an Open Edition print and a Limited Edition print
- Limited Editions are hand signed and numbered by the artist
- On Open Editions the original signature is printed on the painting
- Limited Editions include a Certificate of Authenticity
- There is usually a somewhat higher pricing scale for Limited Editions
- Shipment of Limited Edition prints can be delayed by the availability of the artist
